Mission Hills Veterinary Center was fortunate enough to originally meet Toni in late 2015, as she completed her externship for her veterinary technician license. Toni grew up in Naples and attended one of the local high schools. After high school, she joined the United States Army, where she served as a military police officer. While in boot camp, she met the love of her life, Jay and his daughter Jaelyn. After four years in the US Army, Toni decided she wanted to obtain formal education in veterinary medicine. She attended the Vet Tech Institute of Houston, where she earned her Associates in Veterinary Technology, as well as her state license (LVT). After obtaining her license, Toni worked in a multi-doctor practice in Texas for about a year, before she decided to return to Florida and be closer to her family. We were excited to welcome Toni back to our team in February 2017. Toni is responsible for the day to day operations of our hospital, including training and managing our staff. In her spare time she and Jay enjoy spending time with her family, riding horses, motorcycles, and enjoying the Florida beaches. They have 3 dogs; Bubba (Great Dane), Zoey (Staffordshire Terrier) and Onyx (Chiweenie).
Maria is the other half of our reception team. She joined our team in late 2015. She previously worked at PetSmart where she gained quite a bit of animal knowledge. She wanted to expand on that knowledge, so she decided to apply to work in the veterinary field. We knew that her bubbly personality and contagious smile would be an excellent addition for our team. Maria loves to spend time with her family and her senior Jack Russell, Miller.
Angie is a Pennsylvania native. She took a leap of faith in 2017, when she picked-up and moved away from her family to south Florida. Angie is currently volunteering at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, where she hopes to gain knowledge and experience, while she obtains her Florida residency. Once she has her residency, she hopes to start college and major in Marine Biology. When Angie is not answering phones and assisting our clients, she is practicing yoga, reading, listening to music or trying new recipes to cook. She has a family dog named Buddha. She also lives with 2 Yorkshire Terriers; Diva and Julie and a Lab named Chako.

Elizabeth, Veterinary Nurse
Elizabeth joined our team in late 2016. She is a native of New Jersey, but decided that she would trade the cold snow for the warm beaches.
She formerly attended the University of New England, where she studied Animal Behavior and graduated with a Bachelors of Science. While attending college, Elizabeth worked at a marine animal rehabilitation center and interned at a veterinary specialist hospital. After graduating from college, she moved from New England to the state of Kentucky, where she worked as an adoption coordinator, for a local shelter. She quickly found that Kentucky was not the place for her to stay long-term. In August of 2016 Elizabeth accepted a position with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, as a wildlife intern. It was there that she found her true passion for wildlife and veterinary medicine. In her free time she likes to visit the beach, relax outdoors and scuba dive. She also enjoys spending time with her American Eskimo, Sterling.
Nicole found her passion for animals at a young age. She has spent the last several years working in the veterinary industry and has obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree, with special studies in Veterinary Technology.
