Meet Our Support Staff
Our supporting veterinary staff are the backbone of our practice here in Naples. The work they do to help our veterinarians and give our clients and patients outstanding treatment can never be overestimated. When the going gets tough, they get tougher, and make running a full-service animal hospital look effortless. Get to know them!
Maria Bartolome Customer Service Manager
Maria joined our reception team in late 2015. She previously worked at PetSmart where she gained quite a bit of animal knowledge. She wanted to expand on that knowledge, so she decided to apply to work in the veterinary field. We knew that Maria’s bubbly personality and contagious smile would be an excellent addition for our team. When she’s not working, she loves doing arts and crafts and spending time with her family and her senior Jack Russell, Miller.
Elizabeth Graham Lead Veterinary Nurse
Elizabeth joined our team in late 2016. She is a native of New Jersey, but decided that she would trade the cold snow for the warm beaches. She formerly attended the University of New England, where she studied Animal Behavior and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. While attending college, Elizabeth worked at a marine animal rehabilitation center and interned at a veterinary specialist hospital. After graduating from college, she moved from New England to Kentucky, where she worked as an adoption coordinator for a local shelter. Elizabeth quickly found that Kentucky was not the place for her to stay long-term. In August 2016, she accepted a wildlife intern position with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. It was there that she found her true passion for wildlife and veterinary medicine. In her free time, Elizabeth likes to visit the beach, relax outdoors, and scuba dive. She also enjoys spending time with her American Eskimo, Sterling.
Amanda Komninos Veterinary Nurse
Amanda joined our team in early 2019. She has been working in veterinary medicine field since 2011, after leaving the human nursing program at FGCU, for furry and feathered patients! Amanda enjoys working with birds and other exotics but has a soft spot for dachshunds and pit bulls! Amanda and her husband, Alex, have 3 dogs at home; 1 dachshund (Emmie), 1 pit bull (Zeus), 1 mini-australian shepherd (Banjo). Amanda received her certification as a veterinary assistant in 2016 and is currently working on her degree in veterinary technology!
Margaret Thomas Veterinary Nurse
Hailing from Tennessee, Margaret came to the Naples area several years ago and began the path towards her veterinary career as a riding lesson assistant at and equestrian center and then as a veterinary receptionist and assistant. She feels that the most rewarding part of veterinary medicine is working alongside people who share her passion for animals. For most of her life, Margaret has been an avid equestrian, participating in many events in Kentucky, even placing first in pony under saddle. Margaret lives with her boyfriend, Justin and their Pomsky, Desert Princess. In her spare time, Margaret enjoys teaching her dog tricks and reading on the subjects of biology, anthropology, and paleontology.
Bethany Carroll Veterinary Nurse
Bethany joined the Animalife Team in 2018. Bethany attended Lorenzo Walker Institute’s veterinary program to become a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Bethany adores all creatures and has a passion for aiding the sick and injured. She holds a special place in her heart for Opposums! Bethany is a member of the Florida Wildlife Rehabilitators Association and volunteers at the Von Arx Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at the Conservancy of SW Florida. Bethany has quite the menagerie at home: including an Australian Possum named Anna Banana; 3 rats named Betty White, Roo and Beau; a mouse named Oscar and a Siamese kitty named Riley! In her spare time, Bethany enjoys movies, hiking in the state parks, and seeking out great Sushi and Mexican food!
Danielle Lykos Veterinary Nurse
Danielle is the newest member of the Animalife family! She grew up in Naples, graduating from Barron Collier High School. She then went on to earn a diploma from the Veterinary Technical Institute. Danielle has several pets including Sarah, a miniature poodle, two cats, Jazzy and Ella, a Sun Conure named Candy and a horse, Frankie. Frankie is a draft-thoroughbred horse who Danielle rescued and was able to successfully train for competition. In addition to horseback riding, Danielle enjoys spending her free time traveling and singing.
